The Yorkshire music scene is buzzing at the moment and in the summer of 2007 The Pigeon Detectives debut album ‘Wait for Me’ did it no harm. It is upbeat, three-chord, British rock which appeals to both the average bloke down the pub watching the football with his mates, and the avid indie rock fan. They have released four singles (‘Romantic Type’, ‘I’m Not Sorry’, ‘Take Her Back’ and ‘I Found Out’) to reasonable success for an indie band. It’s not the most original nor the most inventive album, but it still makes for great listening.
