After much anticipation, in the Autumn of 2007, 2006 X-Factor winner Leona Lewis finally released her debut album ‘Spirit’. It features the momentous single ‘Bleeding Love’ as well as many more tracks produced by some of the best America have to offer. Due to her truly amazing voice, she was instantly compared to the likes of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, but although nothing like a bad album, it is a bit ‘paint-by-numbers’ and in order to be remembered as the ‘next Mariah Carey’ you feel she needs to be a bit more creative and inventive. ‘Spirit’ is a very solid start though.
